Will Smith

Original black-and-white charcoal painting by Dave Hobrecht.

This striking full-body portrait presents Will Smith in full catcher’s gear, standing ready as the steady presence behind the plate for one of baseball’s greatest modern teams.

A first-round pick out of the University of Louisville in 2016, Smith debuted with the Dodgers in 2019 and quickly established himself as one of the best all-around catchers in the game, pairing a powerful bat with the leadership and game-calling skills that pitchers trust. The Dodgers rewarded him with a 10-year extension in 2024, and he has been at the center of their success ever since, winning World Series titles in 2020, 2024 and 2025. His biggest moment came in Game 7 of the 2025 World Series, when his go-ahead home run in the 11th inning in Toronto clinched back-to-back championships for Los Angeles.
