Artwork and prints
Are the originals and prints signed?
Every original is hand-signed by Dave. Limited-edition prints (the Medium, Large and Full sizes) are signed and numbered. Mini and Small prints are open editions and aren't signed.
What sizes do prints come in?
Print sizes are measured on the longest side. The other dimension varies with the proportions of each painting.
Do prints come ready to hang?
Prints ship rolled, unframed and unstretched.
How are athlete signatures authenticated?
Athletes sign Art of the Signature pieces in person, and signatures are authenticated by PSA. Limited editions will also come with a certificate of authenticity.
Originals
Can I buy an original?
Select originals are available and listed in the Gallery. Many have already sold.
How much does an original cost?
Pricing for available originals is given on inquiry. Use the inquiry button on any available original to ask.
Do originals come framed?
Yes. Dimensions vary by piece.
How are originals delivered?
Originals ship crated and insured. In-person local pickup can also be arranged.
Commissions
How much does a commission cost?
Commissions are quoted individually, based on size and how detailed the background is.
Is a deposit required?
Yes. A 50% deposit is due to begin, and it's non-refundable. The balance is due on completion.
Can I request changes to a commission?
Commissions don't include revisions. Instead, every detail is agreed before Dave starts, using a sketch or digital mockup, so you know exactly what you're getting.
Will Dave draw someone who isn't an athlete?
Occasionally, though it's rare and the wait is longer. Every request is considered, so ask.
Is rush work possible?
Sometimes, depending on Dave's schedule. Rush orders carry an additional fee, quoted per project.
Is shipping included in a commission?
Yes, shipping is included in your quote.
How can I pay for a commission?
All major payment methods are accepted.
Live event painting
How long does Dave paint at an event?
It depends on the event. Timing is agreed when you book.
How far ahead should I book?
As early as possible. Short-notice bookings can sometimes be arranged, depending on Dave's schedule.
How is payment handled?
Live painting is paid in full in advance.
Can Dave paint outdoors?
Yes, indoors or outdoors.
Can we photograph or film Dave painting?
Yes. Hosts are welcome to use photos and video of the event.
Orders, shipping and returns
When will my order ship?
Prints ship within about a week of your order.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, worldwide.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is calculated at checkout, based on where your order is going.
How are orders packed and shipped?
Every order is carefully packed and shipped by USPS. Another carrier can be used on request.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item and its packaging. We'll cover the cost of shipping it back, and you can choose a refund or a replacement.
Can I change or cancel an order?
Yes, orders can be changed or cancelled after they're placed, except originals, which are final.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
We don't gift-wrap, but you can include a gift note with your order.
What's your return policy?
All sales are final and we don't accept returns, except for items that arrive damaged. Exchanges are handled in person only.

Yes. Contact us for wholesale and corporate gifting.
