The Windup feat. Sandy Koufax Print

Hobrecht Sports Art offers a fine art giclée edition print, printed on high quality archival canvas with archival ink, based on Dave Hobrecht’s original charcoal painting of Major League pitching legend and baseball Hall of Famer, Sandy Koufax.

Hobrecht’s beautiful and nostalgic piece portrays Sandy Koufax in his iconic windup and delivery right before throwing another strike down the middle of the plate. Koufax dominated National League opponents winning 25, 26 and 27 games in three of his last four seasons. He won the NL MVP award in 1963 as well as the Cy Young in '63, '65 and '66. In 1965, he had 382 strikeouts, a season record at the time. Koufax is remembered as one of the most dominating left-handed pitchers of all time and one of the most beloved players, especially among the Jewish community.

The canvas prints are stretched and mounted onto wooden frames with hardware included, and are ready to hang. All prints are made and shipped directly from the Hobrecht Sports Art Gallery in Laguna Beach, California. The Medium and Large prints are signed and numbered by the artist, Dave Hobrecht.
