Hobrecht Sports Art offers a fine art giclée edition print, printed on high quality archival canvas with archival ink, based on Dave Hobrecht's original charcoal and pastel painting "Baltimore Orioles ’66 World Series Champs.”
This remarkably detailed painting captures the Baltimore Orioles celebrating their 1966 World Series victory over the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers. Hobrecht’s depiction takes the iconic and familiar image of Brooks Robinson leaping for joy into the waiting arms of teammates, Dave McNally and Andy Etchebarren, but from a rarely seen vantage.
Hobrecht spent more than 200 hours painstakingly recreating the magical moment when the O’s brought home the first World Series title in the franchise’s history. The image is almost photographic in its realism, but Hobrecht’s masterful brush work freeze an eternal magic into this memorable moment.
The canvas prints are stretched and mounted and ready for custom framing or to hang directly on your office, bar or man cave wall. All prints are made and shipped directly from the Hobrecht Sports Art Gallery in Laguna Beach, California.
