Lucha Libre Print

Hobrecht Sports Art offers a fine art giclée edition print, printed on high quality archival canvas with archival ink, based on Dave Hobrecht’s original charcoal painting entitled “Lucha Libre.”

The rules of lucha libre are similar to American singles matches. Matches can be won by pinning the opponent to the mat for the count of three, making him submit, knocking him out of the ring for a predetermined count (generally twenty) or by disqualification. A rule unique to lucha libre applies during tag team matches, which is when the legal wrestler of a team touches the floor outside the ring, a teammate may enter the ring to take his place as the legal competitor.

The canvas prints are stretched and mounted onto wooden frames with hardware included, and are ready to hang. All prints are made and shipped directly from the Hobrecht Sports Art Gallery in Laguna Beach, California. The Medium and Large prints are signed and numbered by the artist, Dave Hobrecht.
