Dave's painting captures Howe gliding up the ice with the puck on his tape, eyes on the goal, in a dimly lit rink in the 1950s.
Howe, a Detroit Red Wings legend and NHL Hall of Famer considered by many to be the greatest hockey player ever, played 32 years of major league hockey, 26 in the NHL and 6 seasons with the WHA, including his final season at age 52 with the Hartford Whalers in 1979-80. He was a 23-time NHL All-Star, a 4-time Stanley Cup champion with the Red Wings, a 6-time Hart Trophy winner as the league's MVP, and a 6-time Art Ross Trophy winner as the league's top scorer.
Sizes and editions
Sizes are listed by longest side: Mini (14"), Small (24"), Medium (30"), Large (36") and Full (60"). The other dimension varies with the proportions of each painting.
Medium is limited to 250 prints, Large to 100 and Full to 25, each signed and numbered by Dave Hobrecht. Mini and Small are open editions and aren't signed.
Canvas and care
Archival canvas print. Ships rolled, unframed and unstretched. Dust gently with a dry cloth and keep out of direct sunlight.
