Dave Hobrecht's original charcoal and pastel painting of Jackie Robinson stealing home in Game 1 of the 1955 World Series.

In the top of the eighth inning, with the Yankees leading by two runs, two outs and a 1-0 count on pinch-hitter Frank Kellert, Robinson broke for home against Yankees left-hander Whitey Ford. Home plate umpire Bill Summers called him safe. Yogi Berra called him out, and kept arguing with Summers as Jackie jogged back to the Dodgers dugout. The Yankees won the game 6-5, but the Brooklyn Dodgers went on to win the first World Series in franchise history in Game Seven.

With "Coming Home," Dave is the first artist to show Yogi Berra's perspective on the play at the plate. By breaking down the color barrier in Major League Baseball, Jackie Robinson opened the door for players of all races, religions and ethnicities to play the game at the highest level.
