Hobrecht Sports Art offers a fine art giclée edition print, printed on high quality archival canvas with archival ink, based on Dave Hobrecht’s original charcoal painting, "Soul Arch” featuring surfing legend, Peter Townend.”

Another in Hobrecht’s series of surf paintings created for the 2009 surf movie, "Bustin’ Down the Door," this piece portrays Peter Townend, who was recognized as the very first surfing world champion, when surfing was just being recognized internationally as a mainstream sport. In this captivating painting, Hobrecht depicts Townend at Sunset Beach performing his signature move – the Soul Arch, from which the painting gets its title. Hobrecht spent much of his youth riding the waves of his hometown Huntington Beach, California, also known as, Surf City USA. Hobrecht started his career as a professional artist as Editorial Cartoonist for Surfer Magazine.
