The stark and timeless piece portrays Braddock posing for publicity shots before his title fight against Max Baer in 1935. Braddock was considered a mid to low level heavyweight fighter when he was offered a shot at the title against Baer. Baer's handlers figured Braddock to be another "tomato can" on Baer's path to greatness. But, Braddock, the heavy underdog forged a Cinderella story for the ages by defeating Baer and winning the heavyweight belt with a unanimous decision over Baer in what many describe as the biggest upset in ring history. Later, hampered by injuries, Braddock lost his title to heavyweight legend, Joe Louis. Although Braddock knocked Louis down in the first round, Louis dominated the fight and won by knockout - the only fighter to KO Braddock. Braddock's story of courage, heart and defying the odds was depicted in Ron Howard's 2005 film, "Cinderella Man", starring Russell Crowe as Braddock.
