A high-quality reproduction based on Dave Hobrecht's original black and white charcoal and pastel painting called, “The Tyler Rose”, portraying NFL great, Pro Football Hall of Famer, and University of Texas Heisman Trophy Winner, Earl Campbell. Earl Campbell was a star the moment he set foot on the University of Texas Longhorns’ football field. In his legendary collegiate career with the Longhorns, Campbell, who grew up in Tyler, Texas and was nicknamed the Tyler Rose, rushed for 4,444 yards and won the Heisman Trophy in 1977. He was the first overall selection in the 1978 NFL draft, picked by the Houston Oilers. In his short but fabulous NFL career, Campbell rushed for 9,464 yards and 74 TDs. In 1991, he was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
