Sandy Koufax Los Angeles Dodgers iPhone Case

World-renowned sports artist, Dave Hobrecht's star is on the rise. In just the last 12 months Hobrecht has provided original art for Floyd Mayweather, Derek Jeter, the NFL, and Steiner Sports. Hobrecht is no stranger to painting greatness as he has also provided original art for Topps baseball, football and basketball cards, Ferrari, Willie Mays, John Elway, Cal Ripken, Jr., USC, UCLA, Texas, and LSU to name a few.

Now, Hobrecht Sports Art offers your choice of iPhone 5S, 5C, 6 and 6 Plus phone cases featuring 1960's Los Angeles Dodgers' ace, Sandy Koufax. The print is from Hobrecht's original black and white charcoal and pastel painting of an elated Koufax leaping for joy after winning the World Series.

Hobrecht's beautiful and timeless portrait captures an exuberant Sandy Koufax jumping for joy after a 1965 Game 7 World Series win for the Los Angeles Dodgers, a 3-hit, complete game shutout of the Minnesota Twins. In a Hall of Fame career cut short by arthritis, Koufax dominated National League opponents winning 25, 26 and 27 games in three of his last four seasons. He won the NL MVP award in 1963 as well as the NL Cy Young in '63, '65 and '66. In 1965, he had 382 strikeouts, a season record at the time. Koufax is remembered as one of the most dominating left-handed pitchers of all time and one of the most beloved players, especially among the Jewish community.
