Hobrecht Sports Art offers a fine art giclée edition print, printed on high quality archival canvas with archival ink, based on Dave Hobrechts original charcoal painting, "Rabbit Hole featuring surfing great, Wayne "Rabbit" Bartholomew.
Hobrechts piece portrays Bartholomew, the man responsible for landing the Australian Surfing Squad in trouble with Hawaiian officials in the 1970s, carving up another giant Pipeline wave. The painting was one of a series of surf paintings created for the 2009 surf movie, "Bustin Down the Door". Hobrecht spent much of his youth riding the waves of his hometown Huntington Beach, California, also known as, Surf City USA. Hobrecht started his career as a professional artist as Editorial Cartoonist for Surfer Magazine.
The canvas prints are stretched and mounted onto wooden frames with hardware included, and are ready to hang. All prints are made and shipped directly from the Hobrecht Sports Art Gallery in Laguna Beach, California. The Medium and Large prints are signed and numbered by the artist, Dave Hobrecht.
