Aaron was more than a home run hitter, He had a .305 lifetime batting average and in his career amassed 3,771 hits (3rd all-time) and 2,297 RBI (1st all-time). Aaron was a 21-time All Star and a three-time Gold Glove winner in right field. He won the NL MVP in 1957, the same year he led the Braves to a World Series title. Hobrecht’s dramatic and nostalgic piece portrays Aaron during his days with the Milwaukee Braves in 1963 when he hit 44 of his career 755 home runs.
