Hobrecht Sports Art offers a fine art giclée edition print, printed on high quality archival canvas with archival ink, based on Dave Hobrecht’s original charcoal painting of Major League and Baltimore Orioles legend and baseball Hall of Famer, Cal Ripken, Jr.

Ripken set the record for most consecutive games played in baseball history, with 2,632, breaking the record of 2,130 set by Lou Gehrig and that many believed to be unbeatable. Ripken was a 19-time All Star and 2-time AL MVP. He collected 3,184 hits, slugged 431 HRs and ushered in a new era of shortstops, like Derek Jeter, who were excellent defensively and could also hit for power and average. Hobrecht painted the original piece for Ripken based on an image of him playing the infield that was hand-picked by Cal.

Our canvas prints are always printed on the highest quality canvas paper using archival inks. Each one is guaranteed to be high-resolution and fade-resistant.

Our Maple Wood Prints are printed directly onto a 1/4 inch-thick, maple-surfaced wood board for a warm and natural look that is also eco-friendly. Each wood print is unique, and no two prints will look exactly alike.

All size measurements are width x height. LIMITED EDITION prints are signed and numbered by the artist, Dave Hobrecht.
